Ruri Rocks: General discussion and opinions
if you ask me, Ruri Rocks is up there with Secrets of the Silent Witch as one of the most underrated anime of the season. the fact that they took something as basic as mineralogy, and actually make it wholesome and entertaining is a huge plus. every episode makes me smile from ear to ear: the animation is phenomenal, the characters and their interactions with each other are so good, the educational part works incredibly well with a nice balance between it, comedy and sweetness, they made the rocks and nature in general look amazing and the extra bits of Japanese folklore and culture sprinkled out here and there is always a nice touch. sure, it can be a bit slow at times, and i'll admit: i wasn't a fan of Ruri's high-pitched, almost squealy voice at first, but i can easily overlook those small problems because of how good Ruri Rocks really turned out to be. in fact, i'm just gonna go ahead and say it: this might be a strong contender for one of my favorite anime i've seen in 2025 so far.
but what do y'all think? what's your overall opinion about Ruri Rocks in general so far? whatever it is, let me know!
